Stop Food Cravings - Increase Energy and Lose Weight With Supplements

1. Alpha Lipoic Acid

The single Most Important Supplement that will influence blood sugar balance is alpha lipoic acid. It's main role is to help you burn glucose, converting this sugar to energy. It is a powerful antioxidant, protecting your body from free radicals that age you rapidly.

ALA declines with age which means you burn glucose less and less efficiently. Scientists have discovered that alpha lipoic acid works best with vitamin E, C, Co enzyme Q10, and glutathione.

2. Vitamin C

Vitamin C neutralizes free radicals and enhances your body's defenses against excess glucose and glucose derived free radicals. Based on the evidence, vitamin C also lowers cholesterol levels and blood pressure.You can take 2,000 - 4,000 mg. of vitamin C daily in divided doses.

3. GTF Chromium 

GTF Chromium is without a doubt the most important mineral for the prevention and treatment of Syndrome X and insulin resistance. Most Americans have a chromium deficiency due to the over consumption of sweets and refined grains which deplete chromium levels.

The symptoms of chromium deficiency are the same as Syndrome X. GTF chromium can be considered a blood sugar balancer as well as regulator. Scientific studies have shown that chromium can help reverse Syndrome X and insulin resistance quickly.

GTF chromium when combined with L-carnitine (200 mg. daily), will increase your metabolism and your body's ability to Burn Fat. It will also help reduce your sugar cravings.

For prevention of Syndrome X, 200 mcg. of GTF chromium should be enough. However if you have any other conditions such as Obesity, Hypertension or Diabetes, increase the dose up to 1000 mcg. daily in divided doses to help balance blood-sugar levels.

Chromium has been studied extensively and has been found to be extraordinarily safe even when given in very high doses.

Other Helpful Nutrients To Balance Blood Sugar

  • B-Complex vitamins are involved in blood sugar metabolism. Take a 50 mg. dosage of B-complex daily.
  • Zinc plays a critical role in glucose regulation and is also a very common deficiency. Zinc deficiency is linked to leptin resistance, the hormone that tells you when you are full. If you have a tendency to overeat and never seem to feel full it is recommended that you take 30 mg. of zinc daily.

  • Magnesium is another mineral for the prevention and reversing of Syndrome X. This deficiency actually is one of the reasons why people develop type 2 diabetes. Take a daily total of 500 to 750 mg. Reduce the dosage if loose stools occur.
  • High-Potency Multivitamin will supply many of the nutrients I have recommended that are involved with blood sugar metabolism and reversal of Syndrome X.

Syndrome X generates Free Radical Damage to the cells and that is why it's very important to include antioxidants. According to Dr Mercola, Vitamin D deficiency has also been linked to obesity and insulin resistance.
